Razorpay Affordability Widget vs TryOnify: Try Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Razorpay Affordability Widget and TryOnify: Try Before You Buy both aim to increase sales for Shopify merchants within the Payments category, but they tackle the problem from different angles. Razorpay Affordability Widget focuses on highlighting existing affordable payment options like EMI and Pay Later to reduce cart abandonment by increasing awareness of financing options directly on product pages. It's geared towards merchants already using Razorpay and seeking to improve conversion rates by showcasing payment flexibility. TryOnify, on the other hand, introduces a novel "Try Now, Pay Later" model, offering a free trial period before payment is collected. It caters to merchants looking to acquire new customers by removing initial financial barriers and building trust through a trial experience, positioning itself as a more sustainable alternative to predatory microlending BNPL services.

Our Verdict
The choice between Razorpay Affordability Widget and TryOnify depends heavily on the merchant's priorities. If a merchant already utilizes Razorpay and seeks a quick solution to highlight existing EMI and Pay Later options to boost conversion rates, Razorpay Affordability Widget might be appealing despite the low rating. However, the limited positive feedback should be a major concern. TryOnify, while having fewer reviews, boasts a perfect rating and offers a unique "Try Now, Pay Later" model focused on sustainable customer acquisition. If a merchant is looking to attract new customers by offering a free trial experience and differentiating themselves from traditional BNPL services, TryOnify is likely the better choice. Merchants should closely monitor review trends for both apps before making a decision.
Common Questions
Which app is better for merchants already using Razorpay?
Razorpay Affordability Widget is explicitly designed for merchants using Razorpay, integrating with their payment gateway to showcase payment options. TryOnify does not mention specific integration with Razorpay, focusing on its own deferred payment system.
Which app focuses more on acquiring new customers?
TryOnify's core value proposition revolves around acquiring new customers by removing the initial financial barrier with its "Try Now, Pay Later" model. Razorpay Affordability Widget focuses more on converting existing website visitors.
Which app has better user reviews?
While TryOnify has a perfect 5/5 rating, it's based on only 4 reviews. Razorpay Affordability Widget has significantly more reviews (20), but a very low rating of 1.4/5, indicating widespread dissatisfaction among its users. This makes TryOnify potentially riskier due to the small sample size of the reviews.
Does either app have recurring charges?
Neither app description explicitly mentions recurring charges, but TryOnify mentions no usage-based tax that eats into your profits which suggests potential flat fee pricing, but this is speculative.
Which app provides more control over payment options presented to customers?
Razorpay Affordability Widget allows for customization of the widget's appearance and displays dynamic EMI plans. TryOnify focuses solely on deferring the entire payment until after the trial period.
