Redirect Pro ‑ 404 SEO vs Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizerfor Shopify (2026)
Redirect Pro ‑ 404 SEO and Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer both address SEO concerns for Shopify merchants, but they take fundamentally different approaches. Redirect Pro specializes in managing broken links and redirects to preserve SEO ranking when products or pages are removed. It focuses specifically on preventing 404 errors from harming a store's search engine performance, offering automated redirect rules and spreadsheet import features. Tiny SEO, on the other hand, is a comprehensive SEO suite, covering image optimization, page speed improvements, schema markup, and other general SEO enhancements including, as one of many features, 404 and 301 redirect management. Tiny SEO offers a wider range of features aimed at boosting overall site performance and SEO, making it suitable for merchants seeking a holistic solution. It leverages AI for product title and description generation, as well as offering features to improve page speed like lazy loading and minification. Redirect Pro targets users who are primarily concerned with broken link management and SEO preservation from deleted pages or migrations. The significant difference in the number of reviews and average rating also speaks to a substantial difference in usage and user satisfaction. Redirect Pro is niche and might be suitable for very specific use cases, whereas Tiny SEO provides comprehensive value for a larger segment.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with managing broken links resulting from frequent product updates or store migrations, Redirect Pro offers a targeted solution. However, given the low review count and rating, merchants should research thoroughly to ensure the app meets their needs and quality expectations.
Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the clear choice for most Shopify merchants. Its comprehensive SEO toolkit, high rating, and large number of reviews point to a more robust and effective solution for improving overall site performance and search engine rankings. While it includes 404/301 redirect functionality, it's also offering many other valuable services that provide a holistic approach to SEO. The AI features also give a significant advantage over Redirect Pro. For merchants who simply want to 'set and forget' general SEO this is the obvious choice.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Redirect Pro, with its limited scope, likely offers a simpler setup process specifically focused on redirect rules. However, Tiny SEO's guided approach is intended to be simple for all.
Which app is better for image optimization?
Tiny SEO excels in image optimization, offering compression, resizing, and ALT text management, a feature absent in Redirect Pro.
Which app is better for site speed?
Tiny SEO is the superior choice for page speed optimization, with features like lazy loading and minification. Redirect Pro offers no site speed functionality.
Which app provides more comprehensive SEO features?
Tiny SEO offers a far wider array of SEO tools, including AI-powered content creation, JSON-LD implementation, HTML sitemap generation, and Index Now integration. Redirect Pro is laser-focused on redirects.
Which app should I choose if I only want to fix broken links?
If solely concerned with 404 errors and broken links, Redirect Pro is an option; however, consider the low review count and rating. Tiny SEO offers redirect management as part of a larger SEO toolkit and has a far greater user base and higher rating. Tiny SEO may provide better all-around value.
