Rocket Google Reviews vs Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+for Shopify (2026)
Rocket Google Reviews and Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ both aim to enhance Shopify stores, but they target different areas of improvement. Rocket Google Reviews focuses primarily on leveraging Google reviews to build trust and social proof. Its strength lies in its simplicity and direct integration with Google's review ecosystem, making it ideal for merchants seeking to boost credibility using existing customer feedback from Google. Squid, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive suite of tools aimed at increasing Average Order Value (AOV) and customer engagement. It goes beyond basic reviews to offer a wide range of features, including upsells, cross-sells, trust badges, email popups, and AI product recommendations. Squid is better suited for merchants who want a holistic solution to optimize the customer journey and drive sales through various techniques, not just reviews. The significantly different number of reviews (232 vs 11) suggests a notable difference in user adoption and time on the market, which could factor into a merchant's decision.

Our Verdict
For merchants whose primary goal is to showcase existing Google reviews on their Shopify store quickly and easily, Rocket Google Reviews is the clear choice. Its focused approach and high number of reviews suggest a proven track record of success in that area. However, if a merchant is looking for a more comprehensive solution to boost AOV, increase customer engagement, and optimize the entire customer journey, Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ offers a wider range of features that can address multiple aspects of the online store. While it has significantly fewer reviews, its extensive functionality may outweigh that for merchants seeking an all-in-one solution.
