Rocket Google Reviews vs TrustShop: Product Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both Rocket Google Reviews and TrustShop: Product Reviews are strong contenders in the Shopify product review app space. Rocket Google Reviews boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 232 reviews, suggesting very high user satisfaction. It appears to specialize in leveraging Google Reviews, which could be a significant advantage for merchants focused on boosting SEO and showcasing existing positive reviews from a trusted source. TrustShop: Product Reviews holds a very respectable 4.9/5 rating with 226 reviews. While slightly lower in rating and review count, the difference is minimal and likely statistically insignificant. Given its name, it likely offers a broader scope of review functionalities beyond just Google Reviews, potentially including on-site review collection and management. This suggests it might be aimed at merchants looking for a more complete and controlled review system. The choice between the two hinges on a merchant's specific needs. A business prioritizing external credibility and Google SEO would likely favor Rocket Google Reviews. Conversely, a business seeking an all-encompassing product review system, potentially with more customization and on-site management, would likely find TrustShop: Product Reviews a better fit.

Our Verdict
Rocket Google Reviews is ideal for merchants already possessing a solid base of positive Google Reviews and looking to leverage that existing trust for their Shopify store, with a strong focus on SEO benefits. This app would be a great fit for businesses prioritizing easy setup and seamless integration with Google.
TrustShop: Product Reviews is better suited for merchants who want a comprehensive product review system, including the ability to collect, manage, and display reviews directly on their site. It offers greater control over the review process and potentially allows for more customization to match brand aesthetics. This is the better option for those seeking complete ownership over their product review strategy.
Common Questions
Which app is better for SEO?
Rocket Google Reviews likely offers a stronger direct SEO benefit due to its focus on Google Reviews. Leveraging Google's own platform can significantly boost search engine rankings and visibility. TrustShop can contribute to SEO indirectly through improved product pages and user engagement.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Given its focus on Google Reviews, Rocket Google Reviews is probably easier to set up. Connecting your Google account and displaying existing reviews should be relatively straightforward. TrustShop, with its broader feature set, may require more initial configuration and customization.
Which app offers better customization options?
TrustShop: Product Reviews likely provides more customization options. Because it is focused on product reviews in general (and not exclusively Google Reviews), it needs greater customization capabilities. Rocket Google Reviews's customization will be focused on how to best present the Google Reviews.
What if I don't have many existing Google Reviews?
If you don't have a strong foundation of Google Reviews, TrustShop: Product Reviews is likely the better choice. It allows you to actively collect reviews directly on your site, building up your social proof over time. You could start building those reviews with Trustshop then switch over to Rocket Google Reviews in the future when you have enough Google Reviews to leverage it.
How important is it to only display Google reviews?
This depends on your trust and transparency goals. Google reviews are generally considered more trustworthy because they come from a third-party platform. However, if you want to collect more detailed reviews or have greater control over what's displayed, on-site reviews (like those TrustShop facilitates) may be preferable.
