Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is the recommended choice. Its perfect rating and positive reviews provide confidence in its functionality and ease of use. The added scroll progress bar is a bonus feature. Root Scroll, while promising similar features, lacks the crucial social proof needed to justify choosing it over a well-regarded alternative. However, if a merchant is particularly drawn to Root Scroll's customization options or is willing to take a chance on a new app, it could be considered, understanding the inherent risk involved.
