RT: Smooth Scroll To Top vs Shoply AI Search & AI Chatbotfor Shopify (2026)
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top and Shoply AI Search & AI Chatbot serve drastically different purposes for Shopify merchants. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is a utility app designed to enhance user experience by providing a simple 'scroll to top' button and progress bar, particularly useful for themes lacking this functionality natively. Its strength lies in its straightforward application and customization options for improving navigation on long pages. It focuses on a single, specific UI enhancement. Shoply AI Search & AI Chatbot, on the other hand, is a comprehensive AI-powered solution aimed at improving product discovery, customer support, and ultimately, sales. Its core functionality revolves around understanding product catalogs and providing relevant search results and personalized recommendations. Shoply aims to function as a 'product expert' for the store, handling both pre-sales inquiries and customer service tasks automatically. This positions it as a much more ambitious and potentially impactful tool for merchants focused on scaling their business with AI. The target audiences differ significantly: RT: Smooth Scroll To Top caters to merchants needing a quick and easy way to improve website navigation, while Shoply AI Search & AI Chatbot is geared towards merchants seeking to leverage AI for product discovery, customer engagement, and support, even offering support for large product catalogs exceeding 1 million products.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing basic website usability and a quick navigation fix, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is a simple and effective solution. It addresses a specific, easily understood need. However, for merchants looking to significantly scale their business through AI-powered product discovery, personalized recommendations, and automated customer support, Shoply AI Search & AI Chatbot is the superior choice. It offers a more comprehensive and impactful approach to improving the customer experience and driving sales.
If a store already has excellent search and navigation, or is on a tight budget, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top might suffice for a minor convenience feature. But businesses experiencing cart abandonment, low conversion rates, or struggling to handle customer inquiries should strongly consider the potential ROI offered by Shoply's AI capabilities, despite the higher potential learning curve and cost (not explicitly mentioned, but implied by its scope).
