RT: Smooth Scroll To Top vs Visidea AI Search & Discoveryfor Shopify (2026)
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top and Visidea AI Search & Discovery, while both categorized under 'Search and navigation' on Shopify, address fundamentally different aspects of the user experience. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top focuses on improving page navigation for users on themes lacking a built-in scroll-to-top function. Its value proposition centers around ease of use, customization of a single button, and enhancing navigation on long pages. Visidea AI Search & Discovery, on the other hand, aims to improve the overall search and discovery process within a store, potentially using AI. The critical difference lies in their maturity and user validation. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with 30 reviews, suggesting a reliable and well-received solution. In contrast, Visidea AI Search & Discovery has no ratings or reviews, indicating a potentially new or untested product. This poses a significant risk for merchants considering Visidea, as there's no evidence of its effectiveness or stability. RT caters to merchants with long-form content who need to improve user experience with a simple solution and a theme that doesn't offer this function by default. Given the vast difference in user feedback and the apps' core functionalities, they cater to different needs. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top targets merchants wanting a simple, proven solution for improving navigation on long pages, while Visidea AI Search & Discovery aims to improve product discoverability through advanced search functionality. However, Visidea has no user feedback to validate that it actually delivers on its promises.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a simple, proven, and easily implemented solution for improving navigation on long pages, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is the clear choice. The positive reviews and ease of use make it a low-risk option. If your theme does not come with a built-in 'scroll to top' feature, then RT is a no-brainer.
Visidea AI Search & Discovery holds the potential to provide more advanced search and discovery features, but the complete absence of reviews or ratings makes it difficult to recommend in its current state. Merchants willing to take a risk and potentially be early adopters could consider it, but should be prepared for potential issues or instability. It is not recommended until there is evidence to support its value proposition.
