RT: Smooth Scroll To Top vs Voice Search ‑ Speakyfor Shopify (2026)
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top and Voice Search - Speaky are both Shopify apps aimed at improving user experience, but address entirely different needs. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top focuses on improving navigation on long pages by providing an easy way for users to return to the top. Its value proposition lies in its ease of use, customizability, and enhancement of the overall browsing experience, leading to potentially increased sales and conversions for stores with extensive content. It is geared towards stores whose themes lack this functionality natively. Voice Search - Speaky, on the other hand, aims to modernize the search experience by enabling customers to find products using voice commands. This improves accessibility and caters to mobile users who may find typing cumbersome. It promotes faster shopping and effortless integration. The major difference lies in target merchant type: one enhances general page navigation, the other focuses solely on the search function.

Our Verdict
The choice between RT: Smooth Scroll To Top and Voice Search - Speaky depends entirely on the specific needs of the Shopify store. If the store has long, content-heavy pages and the theme lacks a scroll-to-top feature, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is the clear choice. Its customizability allows for seamless integration with the store's design.
However, if the merchant prioritizes improving search functionality and catering to mobile users who prefer voice input, Voice Search - Speaky is the more suitable option. It provides a modern and accessible search experience that can lead to faster product discovery and increased sales for shoppers who prefer voice search over text. While both address user experience, their applications and benefits are distinct.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to offer easy setup, with 'one-click' installation or integration. However, based on the descriptions, the setup difficulty should be comparable, with both being relatively simple to implement.
Which app will directly impact SEO more?
Neither app is described to provide a direct SEO impact. Voice search might indirectly improve engagement and time on site, which search engines might consider.
Which app is more suitable for mobile users?
Voice Search - Speaky is explicitly designed to work seamlessly across desktop and mobile devices and improve mobile shopping. Smooth Scroll to Top is device agnostic and provides a good user experience on all screen sizes.
Does Smooth Scroll to Top require coding knowledge?
The description says it adds the button in 'just one click', indicating no coding knowledge is needed for basic installation. Customizing the button's appearance may require some configuration within the app's settings.
What if my store has a built-in scroll-to-top button?
If your store already has a functional scroll-to-top button, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top would be redundant. In this case, Voice Search - Speaky would be a better option if you want to improve search functionality.
