Scala Parcelamento Installment vs seQura On‑Site Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
Scala Parcelamento Installment and seQura On‑Site Messaging both fall under the 'Payments' category in the Shopify app store, but they address different aspects of BNPL and payment processing. Scala Parcelamento Installment focuses on displaying existing installment options from various payment processors (Klarna, Mercado Pago, PayPal, etc.) directly on product pages, aiming to increase average order value by showcasing payment flexibility. Its strength lies in compatibility with a wide range of currencies and themes, speed optimization, and a focus on visual customization through the Shopify theme editor. It does not process transactions but rather visualizes them. seQura On-Site Messaging, on the other hand, is specifically designed to promote seQura as a payment solution throughout the customer journey. It enables merchants to display customizable widgets and messages related to seQura's flexible payment options on product and checkout pages, aiming to boost conversion and recurrence. Its strength lies in its targeted messaging and the focus on promoting a single payment provider. While Scala is a general-purpose installment display tool, seQura On-Site Messaging is tied specifically to the seQura platform. This difference dictates which is most relevant depending on whether merchants are offering seQura.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who already offer a variety of BNPL options like Klarna, Mercado Pago, or PayPal, and want to visually showcase these options to increase AOV, Scala Parcelamento Installment is the clear choice. Its wide currency support, theme compatibility, and focus on visual presentation make it a versatile tool. However, if a merchant is exclusively offering seQura as their flexible payment solution, seQura On-Site Messaging is the superior option. Its targeted messaging and focus on promoting seQura throughout the customer journey are designed to maximize conversion and recurrence specifically for that platform. Given the low number of reviews compared to Scala, it is possible that seQura's marketing is less well developed at the time of the evaluation.
