Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a straightforward solution to improve browsing on collection and search pages, especially those with large catalogs where pagination is a pain point, Scrollio: Infinite Scroll is a simple and effective choice. Its focus on endless scrolling provides immediate value. However, if a merchant is looking for a comprehensive solution to enhance their site's search functionality, filtering options, and overall product discovery process, Search & Discovery - Visely is the stronger option. While it may require more initial setup and customization, the long-term benefits of improved search relevance and customer engagement could significantly impact sales.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Scrollio: Infinite Scroll appears to be easier to set up based on its description, which emphasizes its 'simple install and setup.' Search & Discovery - Visely, with its more complex feature set, may require more configuration, although they offer a 'white-glove service' to assist with integration.
Which app is better for stores with a small product catalog?
Scrollio: Infinite Scroll may still provide a slight improvement in browsing, but Search & Discovery - Visely's features might be overkill for a store with a small product catalog. The benefits of advanced filtering and search relevancy may not be as pronounced.
Does Scrollio: Infinite Scroll improve search results relevance?
No, Scrollio: Infinite Scroll focuses on how search results are displayed (infinite scroll or load more button), not on improving the accuracy or relevance of the search results themselves. Search & Discovery - Visely directly addresses search result relevance through features like pins, synonyms, exclusions, and custom rankings.
