Our Verdict
For merchants with extensive product catalogs and a desire to fine-tune the traditional search experience, Search & Discovery ‑ Visely offers a robust solution with its advanced filtering, recommendation, and customization options. Its white-glove service for theme integration suggests a focus on seamless user experience. However, for stores offering visually compelling products, Smart Image Search provides a unique and potentially engaging alternative that could drive discovery through visual input.
If the primary goal is to provide a familiar yet highly optimized search experience, Visely is the better choice. If the goal is to experiment with a novel search method and capitalize on visually driven shopping, Smart Image Search presents an interesting option, but its very low review count warrants caution. Merchants should consider testing Smart Image Search thoroughly before committing to it.
