Search & Discovery ‑ Visely vs Year Make Model ‑ PCLookupfor Shopify (2026)
Search & Discovery ‑ Visely and Year Make Model ‑ PCLookup both fall under the Search and Navigation category on Shopify, but they cater to vastly different merchant needs. Visely focuses on providing a broad search and discovery enhancement with features like advanced filtering, personalized recommendations, and AI-powered search. It aims to improve overall user engagement and increase sales for stores with potentially large and diverse product catalogs, regardless of vertical. Their selling points are customization options and white-glove service to seamlessly fit in a merchant's store. In contrast, Year Make Model ‑ PCLookup is a niche app tailored specifically for auto parts stores. It provides a Year, Make, and Model-based filtering system to help customers find compatible parts for their vehicles, aiming to reduce returns and increase sales within the automotive sector. The primary difference lies in their scope and target audience. Visely offers a comprehensive solution applicable to various e-commerce stores seeking to enhance their search functionality and product discovery. PCLookup, on the other hand, provides a specialized fitment tool solely for auto parts businesses needing to ensure compatibility between parts and vehicles. While Visely focuses on optimizing the entire search experience, PCLookup streamlines the product filtering process based on specific vehicle attributes. As of late 2026, PCLookup hasn't garnered any reviews, while Visely has several positive reviews, making it hard to ascertain its real-world performance.

Our Verdict
For general e-commerce stores seeking a comprehensive search and discovery solution, Search & Discovery ‑ Visely is the clear choice, especially given its perfect rating and positive reviews. It offers a wide array of features, including personalized recommendations, tailored filtering, and real-time catalog syncing, designed to improve user engagement and boost sales across diverse product catalogs.
Year Make Model ‑ PCLookup is specifically designed for auto parts stores and would be suitable for merchants focused solely on the automotive sector. Its YMM filtering system and fitment tables are essential for ensuring compatibility and reducing returns. However, the lack of reviews and user feedback makes it difficult to assess its real-world effectiveness compared to Visely which has a strong existing reputation. If a merchant requires the specialized YMM functionality, PCLookup is an option, but should be thoroughly vetted before investing.
