Search7: Smart Search & Filter vs XO Scroll to Topfor Shopify (2026)
Search7: Smart Search & Filter and XO Scroll to Top cater to distinctly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Search7 focuses on enhancing product discovery and conversion rates through advanced search and filtering capabilities. It targets merchants looking to optimize their on-site search experience and leverage search analytics for data-driven improvements. Conversely, XO Scroll to Top addresses a simpler, yet crucial, usability issue: improving navigation on long pages. Its objective is to provide a seamless user experience, particularly on mobile devices, by enabling quick returns to the top of the page. The core difference lies in their functionality and complexity. It aims to fundamentally improve how customers find products within a store. XO Scroll to Top, on the other hand, offers a single, focused feature – a scroll-to-top button – with a variety of customization options for its appearance and behavior. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of installation, requiring no coding knowledge. This makes it suitable for merchants seeking quick wins in user experience without investing in a complex search solution.
