Selling Point vs ShopKeeper Gift Card Schedulerfor Shopify (2026)
Selling Point and ShopKeeper Gift Card Scheduler offer distinct functionalities within the Shopify gift card ecosystem. Selling Point focuses on migrating and managing gift card data, addressing the pain point of transferring existing gift card programs from other platforms to Shopify. It caters to merchants who have an established gift card base and need to consolidate them within Shopify. In contrast, ShopKeeper Gift Card Scheduler enhances the customer experience by automating gift card delivery and removing the need for gift-givers to manually forward emails. The target audience for ShopKeeper Gift Card Scheduler is merchants looking to provide a seamless and user-friendly gift-giving experience on their Shopify store. While both apps fall under the "Gifts" and "Gift cards" categories, their core value propositions are very different. Selling Point solves a migration problem, while ShopKeeper addresses a delivery inconvenience. This difference is important to consider when evaluating which app best aligns with your specific needs. The large disparity in ratings and reviews suggests a far more positive experience with Selling Point. Selling Point seems designed for merchants with a complex Gift Card setup that needs to be transferred to Shopify. ShopKeeper Gift Card Scheduler is ideal for stores already using Shopify gift cards, but seeking to improve the experience for gift purchasers by allowing scheduled, direct delivery to the recipient.

Our Verdict
For merchants migrating to Shopify or consolidating gift card programs from different systems, Selling Point appears to be the clear choice. Its 5-star rating and larger number of reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for tackling complex migration challenges. It allows import from any POS system or website, as well as importing physical gift cards.
On the other hand, if your focus is on improving the customer experience related to gift card delivery within an existing Shopify gift card setup, ShopKeeper Gift Card Scheduler might be considered, though the lack of positive reviews and zero rating is concerning. Given the current data, Selling Point is the stronger recommendation for merchants needing to manage and transfer gift card data, while ShopKeeper, if you have no other options, should be approached with caution, and after very thorough testing.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Given the focus on migration, Selling Point likely requires more initial setup to connect to the old platform's data. ShopKeeper Gift Card Scheduler, focusing on scheduling, would likely be easier to configure initially, but ongoing maintenance would probably be similar.
Can Selling Point schedule gift card delivery?
The description of Selling Point primarily focuses on migration and bulk generation, and not specifically scheduling gift card delivery. This functionality is the primary focus of ShopKeeper.
Which app is more suitable for a small business with limited technical expertise?
If the small business is migrating data, Selling Point, despite potential complexity, can save a developer's cost. If not, and they only want to improve delivery, ShopKeeper may be a simpler choice. Given the low rating however, more research should be done to find alternatives.
What kind of customer support do these apps offer?
The information provided does not explicitly mention the level of customer support offered by either app. Further investigation would be needed to assess the quality and availability of support.
Does Selling Point work with physical gift cards?
Yes, Selling Point explicitly states it has the "Ability to import physical gift cards as virtual gift cards in bulk."
