Selling Point vs SWAQ Video Gift Notes & Morefor Shopify (2026)
Selling Point and SWAQ Video Gift Notes & More are both Shopify apps catering to the 'Gifts' category, but they address entirely different needs within that space. Selling Point focuses on the technical challenge of migrating existing gift card and store credit systems to Shopify. Its core strength lies in simplifying the process of transferring large numbers of gift cards or store credits from other platforms, a task that can be costly and time-consuming to perform manually. SWAQ Video Gift Notes & More, on the other hand, enhances the gifting experience by enabling customers to send personalized video messages alongside their gifts. It aims to increase revenue, customer satisfaction, and referrals through this unique offering. The target audiences for these apps are distinct. Selling Point is tailored for merchants who are migrating to Shopify from another platform or who have a large backlog of offline gift cards they want to digitize. SWAQ Video Gift Notes & More is suitable for merchants who want to offer a more personalized and engaging gifting experience to their customers. While Selling Point solves a logistical problem, SWAQ addresses a customer experience need. Furthermore, the vast disparity in review counts (45 vs. 2) suggests a significant difference in user base and adoption rate, potentially indicating Selling Point addresses a more prevalent pain point or has been available for a longer period.

Our Verdict
Selling Point is the clear choice for merchants primarily concerned with migrating or importing existing gift cards and store credits into Shopify. Its stated purpose is to streamline this process, and the relatively high number of positive reviews suggests it effectively addresses this need. SWAQ Video Gift Notes & More, while potentially valuable, is more niche and aimed at merchants looking to elevate their gifting experience with personalized video messages.
If a merchant isn't concerned with migrating gift cards, SWAQ is an interesting option, but the very low number of reviews makes it a riskier choice. Merchants should carefully evaluate whether their customer base would appreciate and utilize the video messaging feature. Given the current data, Selling Point is generally a more robust and proven solution for its specific purpose.
