Sezzle Widget vs UnumPayfor Shopify (2026)
Sezzle Widget and UnumPay, while both categorized under 'Payments' on Shopify, address fundamentally different needs. Sezzle Widget focuses on boosting sales through Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and longer-term financing options, specifically targeting merchants in the US and Canada aiming to increase average order value and conversion rates. It achieves this by integrating dynamic widgets that display Sezzle payment options on product and cart pages. In contrast, UnumPay aims to simplify payment operations and improve checkout experience by connecting merchants to over 40 global payment gateways via a single API. It offers real-time monitoring of revenue, transactions, and success rates, alongside the ability to collect advance payments, catering to merchants seeking greater control and flexibility over their payment processing. UnumPay also offers a simple no-code integration, making it enticing for a broader audience than Sezzle Widget's North American-focused BNPL niche. The core difference lies in their value proposition. Sezzle Widget is designed to increase sales by offering installment payment options, targeting end-consumer affordability. UnumPay, however, offers merchants payment processing efficiencies through aggregation, reporting, and control over diverse payment gateways. Sezzle Widget is limited to the US and Canada, whereas UnumPay boasts of facilitating access to a broader global network of payment gateways, enabling international sales and catering to global customers. The merchant must assess where they lie on this spectrum, and also consider the ratings in their decision.

Our Verdict
If you're primarily focused on increasing sales and average order value in the US and Canada by offering Buy Now Pay Later and longer-term financing options, Sezzle Widget is the suitable choice, despite the slightly lower rating. Its focus on affordability for the end-consumer can be a powerful sales driver. However, if your priority is to manage and control your payment processing across multiple payment gateways, gain access to a global payment network, and monitor your revenue in real-time, UnumPay is the stronger contender. UnumPay's higher rating and wider scope cater to merchants with more complex payment needs.
Ultimately, the decision hinges on your business goals and target market. Small US and CA stores focusing on affordable payment options should start with Sezzle, whereas medium to large enterprises focused on diverse payment options and global reach should choose UnumPay.
