Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive, AI-powered SEO solution covering a broad range of tasks from meta tag generation to backlink analysis, 'Sherpas: Smart SEO' appears to be the stronger choice. Its higher rating and significantly larger user base also suggest a more reliable and well-regarded app. However, if a merchant's primary concern is page speed and they require a specialized tool focused specifically on optimizing site performance for Google's speed metrics, then 'SpeedBoostr:Google Speed ‑ SEO' may be more suitable, although it has far fewer reviews to validate its performance. Merchants prioritizing AI features would be best served by Sherpas.
Common Questions
Which app is better for beginners who are new to SEO?
Sherpas: Smart SEO claims to make SEO tasks 'easy', implying a beginner-friendly interface, while SpeedBoostr does not explicitly make this claim. Beginners may find Sherpas a better starting point due to its AI features and broader range of tools.
Which app is more likely to provide a greater return on investment (ROI)?
This is difficult to determine without further testing or user testimonials. Sherpas targets a wider range of SEO improvements, which could potentially lead to a higher ROI if successful. SpeedBoostr focuses on speed, which is a ranking factor, but the ROI depends on how significantly it can improve speed and the impact of that improvement on rankings and conversions.

Based on the descriptions, Sherpas: Smart SEO utilizes ChatGPT-4 Turbo for tasks such as generating Meta Tags and Alt Tags. The description of SpeedBoostr:Google Speed ‑ SEO doesn't mention the use of any kind of AI.
Is it possible for stores to use both Sherpas: Smart SEO and SpeedBoostr:Google Speed SEO together?
Potentially, yes. If a store required a broad SEO suite and targeted page speed as a key area for optimisation they could utilise both apps. However, merchants should consider any potential overlap between the two apps, and that the combined cost of both may be higher than a single equivalent SEO solution.
