Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Sherpas: Smart SEO appears to be the stronger option due to its established user base (842 reviews), explicit features like AI-powered meta tag generation and image optimization, and clear emphasis on user-friendliness. Its comprehensive toolset, including broken link detection and backlink reporting, makes it suitable for merchants seeking a holistic SEO solution. Store SEO Optimizer - StoreAI, while possibly effective, lacks sufficient information to make a confident recommendation. It *might* suit merchants with very specific, unstated SEO needs or those willing to take a risk on a newer app, but the risk is elevated by the limited information and minimal reviews. A merchant should thoroughly investigate Store SEO Optimizer before choosing it.
