Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a broad SEO solution that leverages AI to manage multiple SEO aspects, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the clear choice, despite being likely more expensive. Its comprehensive features and high rating with a large number of reviews suggest a reliable and effective tool. However, if a merchant's primary concern is image optimization for page speed and SEO improvement and they prefer a focused, automated solution, WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO is a suitable option, especially if they're on a tight budget or lack the resources for a comprehensive SEO strategy. The significantly fewer reviews should be considered - it may be newer or less tested than Sherpas.
Common Questions
Which app is better for complete SEO beginners?
Sherpas: Smart SEO, with its AI assistance and focus on simplifying complex tasks, is likely easier for complete SEO beginners. It handles more SEO factors automatically.
Which app offers more advanced SEO features?
Sherpas: Smart SEO offers more advanced SEO features, including AI-powered meta tag generation, structured data implementation, and backlink analysis. WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO is primarily focused on image-specific optimizations.
Which app is more likely to improve my page speed?
Both apps contribute to page speed improvement, but in different ways. WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO directly addresses image optimization, a significant factor in page speed, using WebP conversion and lazy loading. Sherpas: Smart SEO also mentions page speed optimization as a feature, so its effect might be less significant than with WebP images, or may address other factors contributing to page speed.
Which app requires more manual intervention?
While both apps aim for automation, Sherpas: Smart SEO's broader feature set might require more initial configuration and occasional monitoring, particularly for strategies like backlink building. WEBP Image Optimizer+Speed SEO emphasizes a "set and forget" approach.
If I only have time to implement one SEO app, which should it be?
If you have limited time and resources, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the better choice. It attempts to manage more SEO aspects and its AI is meant to streamline the process. Optimizing images is critical, but having meta tags and a good link strategy are also important. If you truly only have a minute, WebP might be okay, but you should spend more time on SEO overall.
