Our Verdict
Choosing between Shop and Zoko: WhatsApp CRM depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If the goal is to significantly expand reach and tap into a large, pre-verified user base, Shop is the clear choice. The absence of marketplace fees and the seamless checkout experience provided by Shop Pay make it a compelling option for driving sales volume. Conversely, if the focus is on building strong customer relationships through personalized communication and providing excellent customer support, Zoko: WhatsApp CRM is the better investment. It's particularly suitable for brands with a strong customer base already active on WhatsApp.
Ultimately, these apps address different facets of e-commerce. Merchants with the resources could even consider using both: Shop for acquiring new customers and Zoko: WhatsApp CRM for nurturing those relationships and driving repeat purchases. For newer stores lacking a large existing customer base, Shop provides more immediate value. Established brands focused on customer loyalty will likely benefit more from Zoko: WhatsApp CRM.
