Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing growth through external partnerships and affiliate marketing, Shopify Collabs is the clear choice. Its integrated commission tracking and payment system within the Shopify ecosystem offers a streamlined solution for managing an affiliate program. However, the lower rating compared to Squirai should prompt potential users to investigate the specific reasons behind the feedback.
If the goal is to improve on-site conversion rates, reduce cart abandonment, and promote specific products or events directly to customers on the store, Squirai: Promotion Popup is the better option. Its higher rating suggests a positive user experience and effective popup functionality. A merchant could conceivably use both apps; using Collabs to drive new traffic, and Squirai to optimize on-site conversions of that traffic.
