Smart Notifications vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Both Smart Notifications and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications aim to improve Shopify store management through staff notifications. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications focuses exclusively on integrating Shopify notifications with Slack, allowing teams to receive instant order updates, detailed order information, and aggregated reports directly within their Slack channels. Its key strength lies in providing a centralized communication hub for store performance. Smart Notifications, while having a slightly lower rating and more reviews, may offer a broader range of notification delivery options if 'Staff notifications' is interpreted to mean more than just Slack. Given the limited information, it's difficult to determine the breadth of Smart Notifications' capabilities beyond notifications, so its target audience is harder to define.

Our Verdict
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is the clear choice for Shopify merchants already heavily reliant on Slack for team communication and wanting a centralized platform for store updates. The 'simple one click setup' further strengthens its appeal for users looking for a quick and easy integration. If a merchant isn't using Slack, then Smart Notifications *might* be the better option, assuming it offers notifications through alternative channels, but there isn't enough data available to support this choice with high confidence. Without more feature specifics of Smart Notifications, it's difficult to make a definitive recommendation outside of the Slack-centric merchant.
