Smart Size Chart & Size Guide vs Varia ‑ variants on collectionfor Shopify (2026)
Smart Size Chart & Size Guide and Varia ‑ variants on collection, while both categorized under Custom Products and Product Variants, address fundamentally different aspects of the e-commerce experience. Smart Size Chart focuses on improving the customer experience by providing customizable size charts and guides, aiming to reduce returns and increase sales through better fit selection. It targets merchants selling apparel, footwear, jewelry, and even pet products. In contrast, Varia aims to boost product visibility and sales by displaying product variants as separate products on collection pages. Smart Size Chart seems simpler in its core functionality focusing on one specific feature, while Varia addresses product arrangement and management aspects which may require more initial setup depending on product catalog size and variants. Both apps aim to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction, but they do so through entirely different approaches. Smart Size Chart also features multiple language support, and promises a lightweight and clean installation process, making it attractive to merchants looking for a hassle free solution.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing reducing returns and improving the customer experience related to sizing, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is the clear choice. Its 5-star rating and feature set indicate a strong focus on providing stylish, customizable, and accurate size information. The wide range of template support also makes it highly flexible.
Varia ‑ variants on collection is best suited for merchants who struggle with product discoverability due to a large number of variants. If potential customers are missing out on specific colors or sizes because they are hidden within a single product page, Varia can significantly improve the browsing experience and potentially increase sales. The lower rating might suggest it is more complex to use, or has issues that have been addressed by other apps by 2026.
