Store Credit vs Try with Mirra Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Store Credit and Try with Mirra Before You Buy are Shopify apps addressing very different business needs, despite sharing the 'Payments' category. Store Credit aims to boost repeat sales and customer loyalty by providing a system for issuing, tracking, and managing store credit. Its core value proposition is to incentivize repeat purchases through rewards for activities like product reviews or referrals. Try with Mirra Before You Buy, in contrast, focuses on increasing conversions and order sizes by enabling customers to try products at home before committing to a purchase, particularly relevant for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. The most significant difference lies in their stage of product adoption and target user. Store Credit, with no reviews and a 0/5 rating, appears to be a newer, untested solution. Try with Mirra, boasting a perfect 5/5 rating based on 28 reviews, indicates a more established and well-received app. Functionally, Store Credit emphasizes credit management and incentivization, while Try with Mirra centers around reducing purchase risk and improving customer satisfaction through try-before-you-buy experiences. Therefore, one focuses on retention while the other focuses on conversion.

Our Verdict
Given the limited data on Store Credit and its lack of reviews, Try with Mirra Before You Buy is the clear recommendation for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands seeking to increase conversions and reduce customer purchase hesitation. Its established track record and comprehensive feature set, including customer support and marketing materials, make it a more reliable choice.
Store Credit might be considered by merchants looking for a basic store credit system if they are willing to take a chance on a new app and provide feedback to the developers. However, the absence of reviews makes it a risky proposition compared to the well-rated Try with Mirra. Store Credit would need to establish a positive reputation and demonstrate its effectiveness before it can be confidently recommended.
