Store Notifications vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Store Notifications and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications both aim to improve staff notifications for Shopify merchants, but they differ significantly in scope and approach. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications focuses specifically on delivering order notifications and reports to Slack channels, targeting merchants who heavily rely on Slack for team communication and want immediate visibility into order activity. It emphasizes simplicity and ease of use, allowing for a quick setup and straightforward order monitoring within Slack. Store Notifications, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive and customizable solution for managing various store notifications, extending beyond just orders. It provides advanced filtering rules, batch notifications, and multiple notification channels (email, Slack, webhooks). This app seems geared towards merchants with complex notification workflows and a need for granular control over when, how, and where notifications are sent. The CSV attachment feature also indicates a target audience that needs to analyze notification data or directly share it with external parties like vendors.

Our Verdict
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is the clear choice for merchants who prioritize ease of use and instant order updates within their Slack workspace. Its one-click setup and focus on essential order information make it ideal for smaller businesses or teams heavily reliant on Slack for daily operations. The 5/5 rating and 13 reviews further support its effectiveness in delivering on its promise. Store Notifications, despite its lack of reviews, offers a more robust and customizable solution. Merchants with complex notification requirements, various notification channels, or a need to analyze notification data would benefit from its advanced filtering, batch notifications, and CSV attachment features. However, this flexibility likely comes with a steeper learning curve and more involved setup process. It's a riskier choice given the lack of reviews.
