TelePing – Store Alerts vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between TelePing – Store Alerts and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications face a trade-off between feature breadth and user validation. TelePing positions itself as a comprehensive store monitoring solution, delivering real-time alerts for orders, stock levels, and issues directly to Telegram. It promises a broader range of notifications and reporting, including daily business digests in PDF format. However, it currently lacks any user reviews, suggesting it's either new to the market or has yet to gain traction. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications, on the other hand, focuses specifically on order notifications and reporting delivered through Slack. While its feature set appears narrower, it boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 13 reviews, indicating strong user satisfaction. Ting emphasizes ease of use with a 'one-click setup' and offers customization options for notifications and reports. It caters to merchants whose teams actively use Slack for communication and operational management. The primary difference lies in the communication platform (Telegram vs. Slack) and the scope of alerts. TelePing casts a wider net, while Ting specializes in order-related notifications within a Slack-centric workflow.

Our Verdict
For merchants deeply integrated with Slack and primarily concerned with order management, Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is the safer and likely more immediately beneficial choice, given its positive reviews and emphasis on ease of use. Its focused functionality and existing user base inspire confidence.
However, for merchants seeking a more comprehensive monitoring solution that covers not only orders but also stock levels and potential issues, and who are comfortable using Telegram, TelePing – Store Alerts might be worth exploring. The lack of reviews makes it a riskier proposition, but its broader feature set could be highly valuable if the app performs as advertised. It's crucial for these merchants to carefully test the app during any free trial period to ensure it meets their specific needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications claims a 'one-click setup,' while TelePing – Store Alerts uses a QR code scan. Both suggest a straightforward process, but Ting's claim is slightly simpler in wording.
Which app provides more detailed reports?
TelePing – Store Alerts offers 'Daily Morning Business Digest Reports' in PDF format, while Ting ‑ Slack Notifications provides daily, weekly, and monthly order reports. The 'detail' level depends on what is inside the PDF report from TelePing, so a comparison is tough without seeing the reports.
Which app is better for a small team?
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications, with its emphasis on Slack integration, is likely more beneficial for small teams already using Slack for internal communication. Centralizing order notifications within their existing workflow streamlines information sharing.
Which app is better for handling inventory issues?
TelePing – Store Alerts explicitly includes 'Low Stock Inventory Alerts' and 'Order Fulfillment & Issue Tracking,' making it the better choice for merchants prioritizing inventory management and issue resolution.
Is TelePing – Store Alerts safe to use since it has no reviews?
The lack of reviews doesn't automatically indicate unsafety, but it does increase the risk. Merchants should thoroughly investigate the app during any trial period, paying close attention to data privacy and security policies. Verify the developer's reputation and seek independent feedback if possible before committing to a paid plan.
