Ultimate Recently Viewed vs Wrapin ‑ Gift Wrap & Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
Ultimate Recently Viewed and Wrapin ‑ Gift Wrap & Options are both Shopify apps aimed at improving the customer experience and potentially increasing sales, but they achieve this through very different functionalities. Ultimate Recently Viewed focuses on improving navigation and reminding customers of previously viewed products, enhancing the likelihood of a purchase. It positions itself as a seamless, easy-to-install solution with automatic style matching, targeting merchants who want to quickly implement a standard e-commerce feature without coding. Wrapin, on the other hand, centers around offering gift-wrapping and personalized messages, enhancing the perceived value of products and fostering customer loyalty. Wrapin ‑ Gift Wrap & Options targets merchants looking to personalize the shopping experience, offer gift options, and potentially upsell through premium wrapping services. While both apps share the 'Upsell and cross-sell' category in the Shopify App Store, their core functionalities diverge significantly. Ultimate Recently Viewed addresses site navigation and product discovery, while Wrapin addresses gifting and personalization. The review volume strongly suggests Wrapin is more widely adopted and has a longer track record. Both claim to seamlessly integrate with existing themes, but the 'automatic style matching' of Ultimate Recently Viewed implies a potentially simpler setup process for its specific function.
