UnumPay vs WeGetFinancing Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
UnumPay and WeGetFinancing Messaging are both Shopify apps in the 'Payments' category, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. UnumPay focuses on payment gateway aggregation and management, providing merchants with the ability to connect to over 40 gateways through a single integration. Its strength lies in simplifying payment operations, real-time monitoring of payment performance, and offering advanced features like advance payments. It seems ideal for merchants dealing with a high volume of transactions, diverse customer bases requiring varied payment options, and those seeking granular control over their payment infrastructure. WeGetFinancing Messaging, on the other hand, concentrates on providing customers with access to financing options directly on the product page. It aims to increase conversion rates and average order value by allowing customers to understand their financing options upfront. It seems best suited for merchants selling higher-priced items or those in verticals where financing is a common purchasing consideration.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing to streamline their payment gateway management and gain detailed insights into payment performance, UnumPay is the better choice. Its ability to integrate multiple gateways and provide real-time monitoring offers significant advantages. However, for merchants primarily concerned with increasing sales by offering financing options to customers directly on the product page, WeGetFinancing Messaging is likely more effective. While the single review is a point of concern, its focus on providing financing solutions is laser-targeted towards boosting conversion rates, particularly for higher-priced items. Due to the large review count difference, it's difficult to accurately assess the true user experience of WeGetFinancing messaging. Further investigation is needed.
Common Questions
Does UnumPay offer financing options for customers?
No, UnumPay focuses on integrating and managing existing payment gateways. It does not directly provide financing options for customers. Its advance payments feature is more about collecting partial payments before fulfillment, not financing the purchase.
Can I use both UnumPay and WeGetFinancing Messaging together?
Yes, they address different aspects of the payment process. You could use UnumPay to manage your various payment gateways and then use WeGetFinancing Messaging to offer financing options to customers during checkout.
Which app is easier to set up?
UnumPay advertises a 'quick, no-code setup,' suggesting a straightforward installation process. WeGetFinancing Messaging requires visiting their website to sign up, which might add an extra step to the initial setup.
Which app provides more detailed reporting?
UnumPay specifically mentions 'real-time revenue, transactions, and success rate' tracking, along with 'gateway reports,' indicating a more robust reporting system than WeGetFinancing Messaging, which focuses more on conversion metrics related to financing.
How do the app ratings compare given the review counts?
The 5/5 rating for WeGetFinancing Messaging is based on only one review, making it statistically less reliable than UnumPay's 4.1/5 rating based on 35 reviews. A small number of reviews can be easily skewed by a single exceptional (or terrible) experience.
