WhatsApp by Klinko vs Whatsapp Marketing & Supportfor Shopify (2026)
WhatsApp by Klinko and Whatsapp Marketing & Support both aim to enhance sales and customer engagement through WhatsApp automation on Shopify. However, they differ significantly in their scope and sophistication. WhatsApp by Klinko focuses on basic, automated message delivery for order events, making it a simple solution for stores primarily needing order status updates. Whatsapp Marketing & Support (BusinessOnBot) offers a more comprehensive suite of AI-powered tools across multiple channels, including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Email, targeting businesses looking for advanced marketing automation and multi-channel support. Whatsapp Marketing & Support provides a unified inbox for multi-agent support, AI-powered chatbots for answering queries, cart recovery, and upsells, aiming to reduce customer acquisition cost (CAC) and improve conversions. In contrast, WhatsApp by Klinko offers a straightforward solution for sending automated messages related to abandoned carts, order creation, payment confirmation, shipping, and cancellation. The former seems to be geared towards larger businesses with established support teams and a desire for sophisticated AI driven automation, while the latter is targeted towards smaller stores focusing on basic customer updates and engagement. Due to the large difference in number of reviews, BusinessOnBot has a much larger userbase and should be considered more proven than WhatsApp by Klinko.
