WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel vs Whatsapp Marketing & Supportfor Shopify (2026)
Choosing between WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel and Whatsapp Marketing & Support in 2026 presents a stark contrast. Nextel, despite boasting powerful automation for marketing, sales, and support on WhatsApp (including features like cart reminders, bulk campaigns, and a collaborative inbox with AI), lacks any user reviews, suggesting it may be a newer or less adopted solution. Whatsapp Marketing & Support, on the other hand, has a perfect 5/5 rating from 84 reviews, emphasizing its AI-powered commerce and support capabilities across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Email, focusing on user acquisition, reduced CAC, and improved conversions. The key difference lies in proven performance and platform scope. Whatsapp Marketing & Support offers a unified inbox for multi-agent support and expands beyond WhatsApp to include Instagram and Email, while Nextel primarily focuses on WhatsApp. Nextel's strength appears to be its specialized WhatsApp automation features, such as CoD double confirmation to reduce returns and AI agents in natural local languages, whereas Whatsapp Marketing & Support emphasizes AI-driven automation to boost sales and engagement across multiple channels, targeting a wider D2C audience seeking omnichannel solutions.

Our Verdict
For established D2C brands seeking a proven omnichannel solution with a strong focus on AI-powered automation and unified customer support across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Email, Whatsapp Marketing & Support is the clear choice. Its high rating and substantial review count indicate a reliable and effective solution.
However, if a merchant's primary focus is maximizing WhatsApp automation with specific features like CoD double confirmation and localized AI support, and they're willing to take a chance on a newer app, WhatsApp Connect ‑ Nextel might be worth exploring. Its specialized features could be beneficial, provided the lack of reviews doesn't raise significant concerns. More risk-averse merchants should strongly consider the established reputation of Whatsapp Marketing & Support.
