Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B vs Wholesale Pricing Discount B2Bfor Shopify (2026)
Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B (WLM) and Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B (WPD) are Shopify apps designed to help merchants manage both retail and wholesale operations from a single store. While both apps address the need for B2B functionality, they take fundamentally different approaches. WLM focuses on content restriction and access control, allowing merchants to hide specific elements of their store from unauthorized users. WPD, on the other hand, emphasizes flexible pricing structures and B2B operations, enabling merchants to offer custom pricing, volume discounts, and streamlined B2B signup and management. This makes WLM ideal for merchants prioritizing content privacy and selective access, while WPD is better suited for those focusing on competitive pricing and efficient B2B order fulfillment. WLM boasts a simpler feature set centered around locking content based on customer groups, using password protection, access codes, or B2B login. Its strength lies in its ability to easily hide products, prices, collections, pages, or even the entire storefront. In contrast, WPD offers a more comprehensive suite of features including B2B registration forms, tiered pricing, wholesale shipping rates, net payment terms, and even supports Shopify POS and multi-currency, catering to merchants with complex wholesale pricing and operational needs. The higher number of reviews for WPD suggests broader adoption and potentially a more mature platform, although WLM still maintains a solid rating.

Our Verdict
If a merchant primarily needs to control access to specific products, collections, or pages, and hide prices from retail customers, Wholesale Lock Manager: B2B is the more straightforward and focused solution. Its ease of use and targeted features make it ideal for simpler B2B setups. However, for merchants requiring a comprehensive suite of B2B tools including tiered pricing, registration forms, net terms, and international support, Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B is the better choice. Its more robust feature set caters to more complex B2B operations and offers greater flexibility in pricing and order management.
While WLM offers a focused solution, WPD's higher rating and significantly larger number of reviews suggest a broader appeal and potentially a more reliable and well-supported platform. If in doubt, merchants should carefully evaluate their specific B2B needs and consider the long-term scalability of each app before making a decision.
