Our Verdict
For smaller Shopify merchants seeking a basic and straightforward way to display brands on their store without any coding, Brands Directory Section 2.0 *could* be considered, however the total lack of reviews is a massive red flag. The absence of user feedback makes it risky to recommend unless the merchant is willing to be an early adopter and potentially encounter issues. Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter, on the other hand, is a clear winner for larger Shopify Plus merchants focused on maximizing conversions through a sophisticated search and product discovery experience. Its proven track record (5/5 rating, 41 reviews) and advanced features justify the investment for merchants with a higher volume of traffic and a need for granular control over their search results. Considering the data available, Prefixbox is the stronger option for the majority of Shopify users.
