B&S ‑ Announcement Bar vs Collectify: Get More Emailsfor Shopify (2026)
B&S ‑ Announcement Bar and Collectify: Get More Emails both aim to improve a Shopify merchant's business, but they tackle entirely different aspects of the customer journey. B&S focuses on immediate visibility and promotion of deals and news through customizable announcement bars. It's a broad approach intended to impact conversions directly through prominent messaging. In contrast, Collectify focuses on building a long-term marketing asset – the email list – by embedding email capture forms on product pages, incentivizing sign-ups with instant discounts. B&S Announcement Bar's strength lies in its ability to deliver highly visible, customizable messages, drawing immediate attention to promotions and important updates. The scheduling feature allows for automation of these promotional efforts. Collectify, however, excels at quietly and efficiently growing an email list on product pages, specifically targeting first-time potential customers. It leverages a proven lead-generation tactic, offering instant value in exchange for contact information. Their shared category of 'Notifications - Other' highlights that they both involve conveying information, but the method and purpose are distinctly different.

Our Verdict
If your priority is to immediately highlight promotions, discounts, or important news to all website visitors, B&S ‑ Announcement Bar is the better choice. Its flexible design options and scheduling features give you control over your messaging and timing. This is ideal for stores running frequent sales or needing to communicate important operational updates.
However, if you are focused on building a robust email marketing list for long-term customer engagement and retention, Collectify: Get More Emails is the more strategic investment. Its targeted approach on product pages and integration with existing pop-ups ensure that you are efficiently capturing emails from interested shoppers. Given the low review count for both apps, consider carefully if you are comfortable being an early adopter; more established apps may have more robust support and wider community knowledge.
