B&S ‑ Announcement Bar vs Monjia: Notify With Segmentfor Shopify (2026)
B&S ‑ Announcement Bar and Monjia: Notify With Segment both fall under the 'Notifications - Other' category on the Shopify app store, but cater to significantly different needs. B&S ‑ Announcement Bar focuses on broad announcements through customizable banners designed to attract attention and drive sales for all customers. It emphasizes visually appealing, customizable banners with features like scheduling, font control, and multiple ad creation. Monjia: Notify With Segment, on the other hand, targets a more specific use case: displaying blog post notifications to segmented customer groups. It leverages Shopify's built-in customer segmentation feature to deliver targeted content. The app is less about visual appeal and more about delivering relevant information to specific customers, potentially improving engagement with existing content such as blog posts. The lack of reviews makes it difficult to verify the claims it makes.

Our Verdict
B&S ‑ Announcement Bar appears better suited for merchants seeking a broad-reach solution to promote sales, discounts, and general announcements. Its customizable banners and ease of use make it an attractive option for quickly implementing visually appealing notifications.
Monjia: Notify With Segment is for merchants heavily invested in Shopify's customer segmentation and blog features, who need to deliver tailored content to specific customer groups. However, the lack of reviews and potential complexity due to code editing requirements, make it a riskier choice. A merchant should ideally have an existing robust blog and segmentation strategy in place before choosing Monjia. Further testing would be needed to determine stability and effectiveness.
