BYG Post Purchase Survey App vs Census: Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Both BYG Post Purchase Survey App and Census: Customer Surveys are Shopify apps focused on gathering customer feedback through surveys, both boasting a perfect 5/5 rating in 2026. However, BYG Post Purchase Survey App emphasizes post-purchase surveys displayed directly on the thank you page and integrates AI analytics, attribution tracking, and Lifetime Value (LTV) insights. Its positioning focuses on immediate feedback capture after checkout and comprehensive customer understanding through AI-powered analysis. Census: Customer Surveys, while also offering survey functionality, lacks specific details in the provided data, suggesting a potentially broader or simpler approach to customer surveys. The most significant difference lies in the volume of reviews, with Census having significantly more (23) than BYG (3), indicating a larger user base and potentially more established market presence. BYG Post Purchase Survey App aims to cater to Shopify merchants seeking in-depth post-purchase analysis and LTV insights, especially those interested in utilizing AI for feedback interpretation. The "Question Stream" feature hints at sophisticated branching logic within surveys, enabling targeted questioning. Census: Customer Surveys, with its larger number of reviews, may appeal to merchants prioritizing community validation and a potentially more straightforward survey solution, although the specifics of its features remain unclear based on the provided information. Without more details about Census: Customer Surveys, it's challenging to provide a complete feature-by-feature comparison.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing immediate post-purchase feedback directly on the thank you page, sophisticated survey logic, AI-powered analytics, and LTV tracking, BYG Post Purchase Survey App appears to be the stronger choice. The 'Question Stream' feature and AI analytics provide advanced capabilities. However, given the limited number of reviews (3), merchants should carefully consider the app's track record and potential for bugs. For merchants seeking a potentially more established survey solution with a larger user base, Census: Customer Surveys, despite the lack of feature details, may be a more reliable starting point, especially if advanced analytics and post-purchase focus aren't critical requirements. More research would be necessary to fully compare their feature sets. Without additional information on Census: Customer Surveys, BYG is a stronger recommendation based on the features listed.
