Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Census: Customer Surveys represents the better choice. Its strong rating and positive user reviews indicate a reliable and effective tool for collecting customer feedback. Merchants who prioritize established performance and low risk should opt for Census.
Redpen Widget, with its lack of reviews, is a significantly riskier option. While it *might* offer innovative features or be a cost-effective alternative, there's no data to support that. Only merchants comfortable with being very early adopters and willing to potentially encounter issues should consider Redpen Widget, after THOROUGH independent research beyond the basic data provided.
Common Questions
Which app is more likely to provide accurate customer feedback?
Based on user ratings, Census: Customer Surveys is more likely to provide a reliable and accurate method for gathering customer feedback. The absence of any ratings for Redpen Widget makes it impossible to compare its accuracy.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
While we don't have specific usability information, the high rating of Census: Customer Surveys suggests a positive user experience, implying that setup and use are likely straightforward. Without reviews, the ease of use of Redpen Widget is unknown.
What level of support can I expect from each app?
The positive reviews for Census: Customer Surveys might indirectly indicate that their support is good. However, there is no data available to indicate what level of support Redpen Widget provides. Thoroughly investigating the developer and their support resources is essential for both apps.
If I'm new to customer surveys, which app should I choose?
Census: Customer Surveys is the recommended choice for merchants new to customer surveys. Its proven track record provides a safer and more predictable experience. Redpen Widget, lacking any user feedback, poses too much risk for beginners.
Is Redpen Widget necessarily a bad choice?
Not necessarily. Redpen Widget could be a hidden gem or a very new app. However, with no user reviews, merchants must exercise extreme caution and thoroughly investigate its features, developer reputation, and support options before committing to it. Waiting for some reviews to appear would be a prudent approach.
