Our Verdict
For merchants who value direct human interaction and have the resources to manage a dedicated customer support team, Chatway Live Chat FAQ WhatsApp is a strong choice. Its multi-channel support and mobile apps for agents allow for flexibility and real-time assistance.
However, if scalability and cost-effectiveness are primary concerns, Moose: AI Chatbot & Live Chat is the superior option. The AI chatbot's ability to automate routine support tasks and provide instant answers enables merchants to handle a high volume of inquiries with less human intervention. It is also better suited for merchants without a large dedicated customer service team.
Common Questions
Does Chatway offer any AI-driven support features?
Based on the provided description, Chatway's primary focus is on traditional live chat with agent-driven support. There is no specific mention of AI or machine learning within Chatway, unlike Moose which strongly emphasizes AI chatbot capabilities.
Which app offers better multi-channel support?
Chatway appears to offer broader multi-channel support by incorporating WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, phone and SMS. Moose offers chat, email, and social messages. Chatway offers slightly wider range of support options, particularly related to social channels.
How easy is it to set up each app?
Moose appears to be easier to set up, as it leverages AI to learn from existing content (FAQs, Q&A, and products) to build the chatbot, which eliminates the need for manual setup. Chatway likely requires more manual effort, such as setting up canned responses and training agents.
Which app is more suitable for handling peak seasons or flash sales?
Moose, with its AI chatbot and 24/7 automation, is better equipped to handle surges in customer inquiries during peak seasons or flash sales. Chatway's effectiveness is dependent on the availability of human agents.
Can both apps integrate with Shopify order and customer data?
Chatway explicitly states that it offers access to Shopify cart, orders, coupons data & more through the live chat support inbox. Moose doesn't mention direct access to this type of shopify data for agents, but mentions order tracking through their self service module. Therefore, Chatway has clear data visibility for agents.
