Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttons vs Shopify Inboxfor Shopify (2026)
Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttons and Shopify Inbox both aim to improve customer communication on Shopify stores but offer fundamentally different approaches. Chaty is an all-in-one multi-channel contact button solution, focusing on offering customers a wide array of communication channels (20+) like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and even phone calls, all consolidated within a single widget. Its strength lies in providing extensive channel options and customization, aiming to generate leads, increase sales conversions, and improve support by making it easy for customers to reach out via their preferred platform. Shopify Inbox, on the other hand, is designed as a more integrated and streamlined chat experience *within* the Shopify ecosystem. While it's categorized as a chat app, it doesn't offer the same breadth of external channel integrations as Chaty. Its strength is in its tight integration with the Shopify admin, allowing merchants to manage customer conversations directly within their existing workflow. Shopify Inbox likely positions itself for merchants seeking a simple, unified communication hub within their Shopify dashboard, rather than a wide array of external integrations.

Our Verdict
Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttons is better suited for merchants who prioritize offering a wide range of communication options to cater to diverse customer preferences and drive lead generation across multiple platforms. It's ideal for businesses actively marketing on various social media channels and seeking to provide immediate support through those channels.
Shopify Inbox is a better fit for merchants who value a streamlined and integrated communication experience within the Shopify admin. It's likely a good choice for smaller businesses or those already heavily invested in the Shopify ecosystem who want a straightforward way to manage customer conversations without the complexity of multiple external integrations. The higher review count, despite the slightly lower rating, suggests a broader appeal to a general Shopify user base seeking a simple solution.
