COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Piko ‑ Pickup Reminderfor Shopify (2026)
COD King - COD Fees & OTP Verify and Piko - Pickup Reminder address entirely different pain points for Shopify merchants. COD King focuses on reducing losses associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, specifically Return to Origin (RTO)/Return to Sender (RTS) issues, fake orders, and low conversion rates from COD customers. It tackles these problems through OTP verification, partial payments, COD fees, and incentives to convert COD to prepaid. In contrast, Piko - Pickup Reminder is designed to streamline local pickup order management. It automates reminder notifications to customers, reducing storage clutter from uncollected orders and improving customer satisfaction. The target audience differs greatly. COD King primarily serves merchants, especially in India and Egypt, who heavily rely on COD but struggle with its associated risks. Its features are built to optimize the checkout process and reduce financial losses from problematic COD orders. Piko, on the other hand, is aimed at merchants who offer local pickup as a delivery option and need a solution to manage uncollected orders efficiently. The apps also differ in complexity; COD King offers features like COD hiding based on parameters, likely requiring configuration, while Piko focuses on simple, no-code setup for pickup reminders.

Our Verdict
The choice between COD King and Piko depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant's primary challenge is managing COD orders, particularly RTO issues and fake orders, especially in regions like India or Egypt, then COD King is the clear choice. Its comprehensive features specifically address these problems.
However, if a merchant's main concern is optimizing local pickup order management and reducing uncollected items, then Piko is the better option. Its automated reminder system directly addresses the problem of forgotten pickups, improving customer satisfaction and freeing up valuable storage space. The minimal setup and straightforward functionality make it a practical solution for stores offering this delivery method.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Piko - Pickup Reminder emphasizes its simple, no-code setup, suggesting it's easier to get started with. COD King, with its features like conditional COD hiding, likely requires more configuration.
Which app is better for reducing financial losses?
COD King is specifically designed to reduce financial losses associated with COD orders, such as RTO/RTS costs and fake orders. Piko indirectly reduces losses by freeing up storage space from uncollected pickups, but the direct financial impact is less significant.
Which app is best for improving customer satisfaction?
While both apps aim to improve customer experience, Piko - Pickup Reminder directly addresses this by sending timely pickup reminders, reducing the chance of customers forgetting their orders and improving convenience. COD King's impact on customer satisfaction is more indirect, focusing on preventing negative experiences associated with failed deliveries.
Can these apps be used together?
Potentially, yes. A merchant could use COD King to manage COD orders and Piko to manage local pickup orders. However, they address different aspects of the business, so there's no direct integration or overlap.
Does COD King work outside of India and Egypt?
While COD King explicitly supports India and Egypt, it may offer some functionality in other regions. However, features like payment gateway integrations and SMS/WhatsApp services might be region-specific, so compatibility should be verified.
