Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on aggressive email list growth and immediate revenue generation through email marketing, Collectify: Get More Emails is the stronger option. Its targeted approach on product pages and incentive-based sign-ups are designed to maximize email capture. However, the single review should be considered a risk factor.
Formateca Emails is better suited for merchants who value design and brand consistency in all customer touchpoints, including automated notifications. The ready-to-use templates and customization options allow for a cohesive brand experience. If beautiful transactional emails aligned with your brand are a priority, Formateca is the better choice, even with only two reviews. The choice depends on which of these two aspects, email list growth or brand representation, is more important to your business goals.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Collectify claims a 10-minute installation, whereas Formateca has a 'semi-automated' installation. This suggests Collectify may be quicker to get started with, though both appear relatively straightforward.
Which app is better for capturing emails from mobile users?
Collectify's product page forms would work on mobile, but there's no specific mention of mobile optimization. Formateca does not focus on lead capture, so it is not applicable to this question.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
Yes, they address different aspects of customer communication. You could use Collectify to grow your email list and Formateca to improve the design of your notification emails.
Which app is more scalable?
Collectify's value proposition is inherently scalable – the more emails collected, the more potential revenue. Formateca's scalability is more about consistent brand representation as you grow, but it doesn't directly translate to increased sales like Collectify aims for.
Are there any integrations available for either app?
Collectify mentions working with Klaviyo pop-ups, suggesting integration with that platform. Formateca doesn't specify any integrations in its description.
