CW: WhatsApp & SMS Marketing vs Kindly: Payment Reminder Profor Shopify (2026)
CW: WhatsApp & SMS Marketing (Convertway) and Kindly: Payment Reminder Pro are both SMS marketing apps on the Shopify App Store, but they cater to different needs and merchant sizes. Convertway positions itself as an all-in-one omnichannel customer engagement platform, focused on cart recovery, order updates, and sales boosting through WhatsApp, RCS, SMS, and even integrating Instagram and Email. Its strength lies in its breadth of features, including multi-agent support and COD-to-prepaid conversion options, making it suitable for larger merchants with complex customer service needs and a desire to consolidate their communication channels. Kindly, on the other hand, appears to be a specialized app concentrating on payment reminders, as indicated by its name. While Kindly boasts a perfect 5/5 rating, it is based on significantly fewer reviews (23) compared to Convertway's 4.4/5 rating with 218 reviews. This suggests that Kindly may be a newer or more niche app. Convertway's focus extends beyond basic SMS marketing by including WhatsApp catalogs, RCS broadcasts, and omnichannel chat management, suggesting a value proposition centered on maximizing revenue through proactive customer engagement and personalized communication. Kindly's value proposition remains less clear based on the limited information provided, but likely centers around recovering revenue through payment reminders.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive, omnichannel marketing solution with advanced features like COD conversion and multi-agent support, Convertway is likely the better choice. Its robust feature set makes it suitable for larger businesses with established customer support teams and a need for integrated communication. However, the 4.4 star rating should be considered against the 5-star rating for Kindly.
Kindly, on the other hand, could be a good option for smaller merchants or those specifically struggling with payment reminders and seeking a simpler, potentially more focused solution. The higher rating suggests a strong user experience for its specific purpose, but its limited features and lower review count indicate it might not be as versatile as Convertway.
