Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing proactive communication about shipping schedules, holidays, and planned closures *within* their Shopify store, DateWise ‑ Scheduled messaging is the clear choice, especially for Shopify Plus users who want to utilize the checkout messaging feature. Its automation capabilities save time and ensure customers are always informed. However, merchants looking to actively engage customers with personalized updates, pricing alerts, and marketing offers *directly* via SMS should opt for ValueFirst SMS App. The app offers a more direct and immediate line of communication, useful for time-sensitive announcements and promotions. DateWise's low review count, however, must be considered. ValueFirst's slightly lower rating suggests some caution but both could benefit from more reviews.
