Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing immediate sales and proactive customer engagement, DingAI – Surveys That Sell appears to be the stronger choice. Its AI-powered chat functionality offers a hands-on approach to guiding customers toward purchase and reducing friction. The significant difference in review count (63 vs. 6) also suggests a more established user base and broader adoption.
However, if the primary goal is to collect customer data for targeted marketing campaigns and personalized discounts, PostRev ‑ Discounts For Data may be suitable, assuming the data collection is easier, but the low number of reviews makes judging customer experiences challenging. Merchants could consider using both apps in conjunction: PostRev to gather customer data and DingAI to engage those customers in real-time based on the collected insights.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to implement for beginners?
Without further information about setup and customization, it's difficult to definitively say. However, DingAI's focus on AI-driven chat might require more initial configuration to optimize the AI agent's responses. PostRev, focused on surveys, might offer a simpler initial setup depending on their survey building tools.
Does either app offer A/B testing capabilities?
Neither app description explicitly mentions A/B testing. Further research would be needed to confirm if either app offers this functionality. If so, that is a feature to look for from both apps.
Which app is better for reducing cart abandonment?
DingAI's real-time AI chat can potentially address visitor concerns and guide them towards completing their purchase, thus helping to reduce cart abandonment. PostRev's survey-based approach might indirectly influence cart abandonment rates by providing data for better targeting, but its impact is less direct.
Are these apps GDPR compliant?
The app descriptions don't explicitly mention GDPR compliance. Merchants should verify each app's privacy policy and data handling practices to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
