DM: Scroll To Top vs Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filterfor Shopify (2026)
DM: Scroll To Top and Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter are both Shopify apps in the Search and Navigation category, but they address drastically different needs and target different merchant segments. DM: Scroll To Top, with no ratings or reviews, likely offers a basic 'scroll to top' functionality, providing a simple user experience enhancement. Its value proposition remains uncertain without user feedback. Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter, on the other hand, is a comprehensive AI-powered search and product discovery solution, evidenced by its perfect 5/5 rating and 41 reviews. It appears to be a robust tool for larger Shopify Plus merchants seeking to optimize their search and navigation experience with advanced features. Prefixbox offers features like predictive search, dynamic filters, AI-powered search recommendations, and merchandising controls, making it a suitable solution for merchants looking to improve conversions through enhanced product discovery. It boasts full metaobject, metafield, and product option support. DM: Scroll To Top offers a single enhancement. The fact that it has no ratings or reviews suggests it's either very new, or offers limited functionality, or has failed to gain traction with merchants for other reasons. Both apps fall under the 'Search and navigation' category in the Shopify app store, but they serve extremely different needs. Prefixbox is likely more complex to set up and use, but provides a vastly greater return on investment for Shopify Plus merchants who need help with site search.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants, especially smaller ones, DM: Scroll To Top might be a simple, albeit unproven, addition if they are specifically looking for that function. However, given the lack of reviews, its value is questionable. Prefixbox AI Search Bar Filter is specifically designed for Shopify Plus merchants seeking a robust, AI-driven search and product discovery solution. If you are a Shopify Plus merchant struggling with conversion rates due to poor search functionality, Prefixbox appears to be the better option. If you are not on Shopify Plus, Prefixbox may not be available to you. If Prefixbox *is* an option for a non-Plus store, it may have features you don't need, and be overkill.
