easyPoints vs Essential Free Shipping Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
easyPoints and Essential Free Shipping Upsell both aim to increase revenue for Shopify merchants, but they approach this goal from fundamentally different angles. easyPoints focuses on building customer loyalty through a rewards program, encouraging repeat purchases and engagement. Its strength lies in its comprehensive loyalty features, including points for various actions, VIP tiers, and online/offline capabilities via Shopify POS. It is targeted at merchants looking to foster long-term customer relationships and build a dedicated customer base. Essential Free Shipping Upsell, on the other hand, leverages the psychological impact of free shipping to boost Average Order Value (AOV). It provides a progress bar to incentivize customers to add more items to their cart in order to qualify for free shipping, potentially leading to immediate revenue increases. The focus is on immediate conversion and maximizing the value of each transaction rather than long-term loyalty.
