Essential Free Shipping Upsell vs FeeBee ‑ Fees and Depositsfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Free Shipping Upsell and FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits are both Shopify apps aimed at increasing revenue, but they address fundamentally different needs. Essential Free Shipping Upsell focuses on incentivizing customers to spend more to qualify for free shipping, leveraging a progress bar, cart upsells, and cross-sells to boost Average Order Value (AOV) and overall sales. Its primary goal is to turn 'free shipping' from a cost into a sales driver by motivating customers to reach a pre-defined spending threshold. FeeBee ‑ Fees and Deposits, on the other hand, isn't described in sufficient detail, but its name strongly implies it's concerned with managing and applying various fees and deposits to orders. This could include handling taxes, environmental fees, security deposits, or other surcharges. While both apps are categorized under 'Upsell and cross-sell', their approaches and target merchant profiles diverge significantly. Essential Free Shipping Upsell is relevant to a wider range of e-commerce businesses, while FeeBee targets businesses needing to manage complex pricing structures that involve fees and deposits.

Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing Average Order Value (AOV)?
Essential Free Shipping Upsell is specifically designed to increase AOV by incentivizing customers to spend more to reach the free shipping threshold. FeeBee, while potentially influencing purchase decisions through fees, doesn't directly focus on AOV growth.
Is either app suitable for businesses that don't offer free shipping?
Essential Free Shipping Upsell would be less relevant if you don't offer free shipping or a similar incentive. FeeBee, if it handles other types of fees and deposits, could still be useful.
Which app is likely easier to set up and manage?
Based on the descriptions, Essential Free Shipping Upsell seems simpler to set up with its pre-made styles. FeeBee's complexity would depend on the intricacies of the fees and deposits being managed.
Which app is better for businesses operating in multiple countries?
Essential Free Shipping Upsell explicitly mentions translations and different currency support, making it a better choice for international businesses focused on free shipping incentives.
Do either of these apps support subscriptions?
Neither app's description mentions support for subscriptions. Further investigation would be needed to confirm subscription compatibility.
