Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Essential Free Shipping Upsell likely has a simpler setup due to its focus on customization and integration within an existing store setup. Shopify Collective, involving supplier integration, order fulfillment management, and sync settings might be more complex to configure initially.
Which app generates more revenue?
This depends heavily on the merchant's existing business. Essential Free Shipping Upsell directly aims to increase AOV. Shopify Collective generates revenue through increased product selection and sales volume, but depends on customer demand for the Collective products.
Which app requires more ongoing management?
Shopify Collective probably requires more ongoing management, as it involves actively monitoring inventory levels of suppliers, handling potential communication issues, and ensuring smooth order fulfillment processes.
How do returns work with each app?
Essential Free Shipping Upsell's return process is determined by the merchant. Shopify Collective allows merchants to set clear rules for returns and refunds processing, even with third-party apps.
Are these apps mutually exclusive?
No, a merchant could theoretically use both. A store could use Shopify Collective to expand its product range and then use Essential Free Shipping Upsell to encourage larger purchases within that expanded product selection.
