Essential Free Shipping Upsell vs Sternify ‑ Bundles & Sectionsfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Free Shipping Upsell focuses primarily on incentivizing customers to spend more to reach a free shipping threshold, directly aiming to increase Average Order Value (AOV). It uses a progress bar, customisable displays, and integrated cart upsells to achieve this. Its target audience is merchants looking for a straightforward and effective solution specifically for free shipping upsell. Sternify ‑ Bundles & Sections, on the other hand, is a more versatile tool aimed at providing broader theme customization and CRO options. It offers flexible sections, social proof elements, and design blocks for various purposes, including product highlights, reviews, banners, bundles, and upsells. Sternify is suited for merchants needing more extensive control over their store's layout and design, not solely focused on free shipping. While both apps operate within the upsell and cross-sell category, their approaches and scope differ significantly. Essential Free Shipping Upsell offers a targeted solution with strong social proof and a clear goal. Sternify offers a wider range of features extending beyond just upsells, but its lower review count may indicate it's newer or caters to a smaller, more design-focused niche. Both solutions claim ease of use by directly integrating with existing themes and editing tools. However, the simplicity of Essential Free Shipping Upsell’s single goal suggests it may be quicker and easier to implement for basic free shipping upsell strategies. Sternify will have a steeper learning curve due to the number of features and its overall scope.
