Kindly: Payment Reminder Pro vs SMS Abandoned Cart ✦ CartBossfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing between Kindly: Payment Reminder Pro and SMS Abandoned Cart ✦ CartBoss are facing a decision between a highly-rated, albeit less-reviewed, payment reminder solution and a lower-rated but explicitly SMS-focused abandoned cart recovery tool. Kindly's specific features are unlisted, but the name implies a focus on payment reminders, not necessarily abandoned carts. CartBoss, on the other hand, directly addresses the abandoned cart problem through automated, multilingual SMS messages, dynamic personalized offers, and simplified checkout forms, boasting a user-friendly, no-code setup. CartBoss targets merchants who want to actively recover lost revenue from abandoned carts through SMS marketing automation. Its key value proposition lies in ease of use, automated personalization, and multilingual support, making it appealing to businesses operating in diverse markets and without dedicated technical expertise. Conversely, without feature details on Kindly, it can be surmised its broader scope is handling all types of payment reminders for overdue invoices, subscription renewals, or unpaid orders, making it useful for merchants focused more on general payment collection than just abandoned carts.

Our Verdict
Kindly: Payment Reminder Pro, with its perfect rating, appears compelling, but the limited number of reviews and unknown feature set make it difficult to judge conclusively. If a merchant requires a broad solution for general payment reminders beyond just abandoned carts, and is comfortable with potential ambiguity, Kindly might be worth exploring.
However, for merchants specifically targeting abandoned cart recovery and seeking an SMS-driven, automated, and multilingual solution, SMS Abandoned Cart ✦ CartBoss is the clearer choice. Despite its lower rating and fewer reviews, its explicit feature set and value proposition cater directly to this need. Merchants should, however, carefully examine the reviews and potentially contact CartBoss support to understand the reasons behind the 3.6 rating and ensure it meets their specific requirements for reliability and customer support.
