Notify Customers vs SMSify Notifications & Supportfor Shopify (2026)
Notify Customers and SMSify Notifications & Support are both SMS marketing apps for Shopify merchants in 2026, but they address different needs. Notify Customers focuses on broad SMS marketing campaigns for driving repeat business. It's geared towards merchants who want to proactively engage their customer base with promotional offers, announcements, and requests for feedback through bulk SMS campaigns. It offers features like image support, scheduling, and two-way conversation initiation *after* a campaign reply. SMSify Notifications & Support, conversely, prioritizes order-related updates and customer support through SMS. SMSify Notifications & Support aims to improve customer satisfaction and reduce support response times by automating order status notifications and providing a dedicated SMS-based support channel. The core differentiator is the app's focus on streamlining communication around the order fulfillment process and enabling immediate customer support. While Notify Customers allows 1-on-1 conversations stemming from campaigns, SMSify provides a dedicated phone number for proactive, direct customer support via SMS chat.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily interested in driving repeat business and proactively engaging customers through promotional SMS campaigns, Notify Customers is the stronger choice, supported by a perfect rating and initial customer reviews. Its campaign scheduling and image support offer enhanced marketing capabilities. However, for businesses prioritizing customer support and streamlining order-related communication, SMSify Notifications & Support, despite the lack of reviews at this stage, offers a valuable solution with its dedicated phone number and automated notifications.
If ease of setting up order notifications is paramount, and the marketing campaign features of Notify Customers aren't needed, SMSify could be a good option once it has established some social proof. Merchants should carefully weigh their priorities and consider running trials with both apps (if available) once SMSify acquires user reviews, to determine the best fit for their business needs.
